The Western Maine Storytelling Festival is a community arts group committed to celebrating the art of storytelling. The second annual festival will be held on July 20-21,2012, in Farmington, Maine. The featured storytellers will be internationally-recognized Judith Black of Marblehead, Massachusetts (visit her web site at www.storiesalive.com), and “Masked Marvel” Michael Cooper of Chesterville, Maine (his web site is at www.themaskedmarvel.com). Both will give performances and workshops. In addition, the program will showcase some half dozen skilled storytellers from northern New England, and will also present local “good talkers” who will tell stories of their life and work experiences in the Western Maine region.
Western Maine Storytelling Festival has been a member of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce since 2011.
