Downtown Farmington - parade at 11 a.m. (line up 10 a.m., judging 10:30 a.m.), wreath sale, music, chili contest, polar bear dip at Clearwater Lake, flag raising in front of the courthouse, cash prizes for parade winners; annual Festival of Trees at the Granary and more! 2006 Boston Globe's pick of the week! Chili contest winners received $50 in Chamber Bucks for 1st place; $25 in Chamber Bucks for 2nd and 3rd place. 1st place Chili winner also receives bragging rights with a travelling trophy and their name and the year they won engraved on a brass plate attached to the trophy! Candy throwing from the floats is not permitted - but you may have individuals from your organization walk along side your float and hand candy to the children. This is a safety issue - thank you for helping us make this a fun, safe event.
