AHCH Presents: Transportation and Grocery Volunteer Training

Time: 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM

Location: AHCH, 15 Strawberry Ave

Volunteer support has been an integral part of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice's (AHCH) services. The Program is now widely recognized as one of the most extensive, non-profit, home health care volunteer programs in Maine.

“Volunteering is very rewarding.  You feel good when you are helping someone else." states Evelyn Bodemer, Volunteer for AHCH. Volunteer opportunities include visiting patients on home care or hospice services, providing respite for caregivers, bereavement support and facilitating grief groups, grocery shopping and transportation.  Volunteers specializing in complementary therapies such as pet therapy, Reiki, massage, music and art are also welcome.

All trainings are provided to the community at no cost. For more information and to sign up for a training, please contact Kathy Baillargeon, Volunteer Supervisor at 777-7740, ext. 1286. They are always in need of more volunteers to support the needs of patients.

2016 marks Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice’s 50th anniversary. For the past 50 years, AHCH has grown to become known as one of Maine’s most respected home health and hospice care agencies. To learn more about AHCH and how you can help, please visit them online at www.ahch.org or call Marketing & Development at 795-9407.
