Chester Greenwood Day events include a Holiday Movies themed parade, Gingerbread House Contest, Chili Contest and more!

8am
5K Walk/Run registration begins at 8am at the Snack Shack on Front Street. Run begins at 9am. Registration is $10.

9am
American Legion #28 Craft Fair at the corner of High St. & Middle St. Farmington -- lots of treats and treasures!

Franklin County Arts & Crafts Association Craft Show: At the UMF Olsen Center, Farmington. Find the perfect local gifts!

Emblem Club #460 Craft Fair: at the Farmington Elks Lodge. A great collection of vendors and items  (ends at 2pm)!

10am
Parade Line-Up at Mallet School in Farmington, the Quebec St. entrance. Free! Pre-registration is encouraged, but not required. The theme is “Holiday Movies”. Cash prizes for first, second, and third place adult floats and best overall youth organization float

Caroling throughout downtown Farmington.

10am - 2pm
Open Houses:
The Titcomb House  - free (corner of Academy and High Streets) ,
The Octagon House  - $5 donation (corner of Perham and Broadway) ,and the North Church  - free -  will be open to the public.

10am - 6:30pm
Rotary’s Festival of Trees: The Festival of Trees will be held at the historic North Church! Musical entertainment 1-5pm. Live auction begins at 6:30 p.m. Silent auction and raffles throughout the day and Christmas Show at 6pm.

11am
Parade Begins! Following the parade, there will be a flag raising ceremony,
a live performance by Mark Gentle, and the parade winners will be posted
at the chili challenge in Meetinghouse Park.

11am - 1pm
7th Annual Gingerbread House Contest at Bangor Savings Bank, Main St, Downtown Farmington. Free. Pre-register by contacting the Chamber.
Drop off the 8:30 - 9 am. Chester Greenwood birthday cake will be served.

12 noon until 1pm (While it lasts!)
Chili Challenge under the gazebo at Meetinghouse Park. Pre-register by contacting the Chamber. Free. Traveling trophy and Chamber Bucks awarded! Drop off at 11:30pm. Come and vote for your favorite!

Book Signing - Meghan McCarthy will be signing her book Earmuffs for Everyone at DDG Booksellers.  

1pm - 3pm
Open House - The Pierce House will have memorabilia pertaining to the Greenwoods on display.  Old fashioned refreshments and cookie decorating.

3pm
Annual Polar Bear Dip at the breakwater on Clearwater Lake, Industry.
Dip if you dare!

4pm
Farmington Rec Presents the Farmington Christmas Show!  at the Community Center, Middle St. Farmington. Baton twirling, streamers, fun dances, and ballet. Area children 2 years old and up. Donations will be accepted at the door.
