FIFTH ANNUAL SANDY RIVER FESTIVAL

The Sunday morning breakfast kicking off at 8am will be simple, tasty, and reasonably priced.  Come to kayak and canoe, learn about fly fishing, have an inner tube race, try log rolling and the log boom run.  We’ve packed the day with other activities, and they’re all free. 

We’ll have safety and rescue personnel and a free shuttle to bring you back from the Fairbanks bridge to Strong. Beginners welcome.  Everyone should paddle this 9-mile stretch of serene and scenic beauty!  For complete beginners, there are tiny little drops here and there!  Bring you PFDs, bug spray, sunscreen, and a picnic.  Strong also has two restaurants.
