Jay/Livermore Falls Independence Day parade is Friday, July 3. Line-up at 4 p.m. in Jay at the Memco parking lot on Main Street for a 5 p.m. start down Main Street in Jay and through Livermore Falls to Depot Street. Organizers invite everyone to join in the parade with a float, antique vehicle, band, walking for an organization, etc. The VFW on Jewell Street in Jay has a chicken BBQ right after the parade. Music in the gazebo in Livermore Falls.Fireworks at sunset, around 9 p.m. at Spruce Mtn. Ski Slope. If the fireworks are canceled due to weather, check the Chamber’s Web site at www.jay-livermore-lf.org or listen to local TV and radio stations. Event coordinators: Andre Ouellette - 897-3673.
