Kingfield Pops

Location: Kennedy Farm, Route 142 in Kingfield

For one day each summer, music resonates through the mountains and into the valleys of western Maine drawing thousands to the riverside town of Kingfield. The 13th Annual Kingfield POPS will present the Bangor Symphony Orchestra conducted by Lucas Richman on June 27. Maine's own Rustic Overtones will perform both as a group and with the Orchestra, bringing a new sound to the western mountains. These acts will be complemented by other musical artists.  From the welcoming sounds of the Western Mountain Trash Can Band to the last echo of the firework grand finale, this event will have toes tapping, children dancing and faces smiling.Picnics welcome, blankets or lawn chairs encouraged.

Gates open at 4:30 p.m.  Early Bird tickets are $20 until May 15. From May 15 to gate opening, tickets are $25. Tickets for the 2015 Kingfield POPS will be $30 at the gate. Kennedy Farm, Route 142 in Kingfield.  The Kingfield Art Walk, a road race, Kingfield POPS Festival of the Arts, an introductory guided mountain bike ride hosted by the Carrabassett Valley chapter of NEMBA  and other family-friendly activities round out the celebration of music and art.
