SAVES Support Groups

Sexual Assault Victims Emergency Services Inc. will host two support groups this spring. Both groups will be facilitated by Aimee Cecile, MSW, and will meet every Tuesday from Jan. 26 through May 18. Among the range of groups offered will be Expressive Arts, which will focus on providing space for an individual to explore their experiences through the creation of various types of art, ranging from painting to collage and others. No previous art practice in necessary. Expressive Arts will meet from noon to 1:30 pm Tuesdays.SAVES will also offer Writing for recovery, using author Julia Cameron's text "The Artist's Way," which uses writing as a means to explore one's creativity and to use words to express emotions and experiences. No previous writing practice is necessary. Writing for Recovery will meet from 6 to 7:30 pm, Tuesdays.
