K-12 schools are consistently ranked high in state ratings, and the University of Maine at Farmington is one of the best institutions of higher education in Maine, as well as consistently receiving high ratings in national listings.

Programs offered: Free literacy and refresher training in: reading, writing, math, life skills, GED testing and job skills. Also offers English as a second language, family literacy, computer assisted instruction and basic computer literacy. Group and individual training taught in homes, libraries and community centers. Open to walk-ins year-round. An official GED testing site for Franklin County.
