30 Mile River Watershed Association's First Ever Watershed Cleanup Day

Time: 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM

Location: Meet at North Vienna United Methodist Church, 572 Tower Road

Each year, more than 1 billion people in 192 countries take part in Earth Day, the largest civic focused day of action. This Earth Day, join the effort to protect our planet. The theme of Earth Day 2018 is "End Plastic Pollution." Plastic pollution contaminates our water resources and negatively impacts our health. 30 Mile River Watershed Association, along with the Maine Conservation Corps hope to contribute to the goal of ending plastic pollution by cleaning up roadside litter throughout our watershed.

Trash bags and gloves will be provided. You are welcome to drop by anytime during the 2.5 hour window. Please contact Marissa at steward@30mileriver.org if you are interested in participating or would like more information. Groups and individuals are welcome. Together, we can put an end to plastic pollution and keep our communities clean and healthy.
