Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction for 4-H members

Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction on Friday June 8th at the West Farmington Grange. Dinner also includes homemade artisan breads, salad and dessert. Auction items include firewood, gift certificates, fudge, homemade items, plus more. Also available will be artisan breads for sale.
Parents of local 4-Hers have gotten together to put on a fundraiser to help raise funds to help local youth attend 4-H National Trips. These kids have been chosen to be part of the Maine 4-H Delegation to Washington DC during the Citizenship Washington Focus trip the first week in July. The delegates will be marching in the country's National 4th of July Parade, tour the monuments, visit Mt. Vernon and work together with 4-Hers from other states on current issues that face our country. This is a trip that focuses on leadership skills for kids in high school. Some of the kids were also selected as Delegates for the 4-H Agri-Science Summit, also in Washington DC. This summit focuses on how science is a large part of agriculture. The kids attend workshops and learn different facets of how this is accomplished. The delegation also prepares a community action plan to address a current need in their community.
