Pond Workshop with Credits

Location: Downstairs Farmington Municipal Building

Join us on Nov. 14th in the downstairs conference room at the Farmington Municipal Building to get clear, concise answers to your questions during this session which will cover pond planning, design, construction, maintenance, and management of existing ponds. A short field trip to a nearby pond will give you more visual aids as the presenters discuss various points.
Candi Gilpatric, NRCS Engineer, Bobby VanRipper, retired IF&W Biologist, and DEP staff will present. Candi will focus on construction and maintenance of ponds. Bobby presentation will give landowners and contractors the updated information they need. Lucien will go over the current DEP rules and regs that could impact work on your pond. Each participant will leave with their own “Ponds - Planning, Design, Construction” handbook plus new knowledge about ponds. Recertification credits will be given by DEP for those who desire them. $45 by Nov. 8, 2018 and $55 after that. Pre-registration is required.
